Swedish metallers CORRODED are the latest act confirmed for the Sweden Rock Festival which will take place June 5th – 8th in Sölvesborg, Sweden.

CORRODED Performs Two New Songs At Sweden’s GETAWAY ROCK; Video Available

Swedish hard rockers CORRODED performed a brand new song, “More Than You Can Chew”, and their new single, “I Am The God”, during their July 7 appearance at the Getaway Rock Festival in Gävle, Sweden. Both tracks will be included on the band’s as-yet-untitled third album, to be released on September 5 via Ninetone Records.

Fan-filmed video footage of the two new songs can be seen below.


CORRODED‘s new CD was once again helmed by Swedish producer Patrik Frisk and its sound is described as “melodic, dark, heavy and very, very CORRODED.”

Swedish rock band CORRODED known for the main soundtrack ‘Age of Rage’ for the free to play First Person Shooter game Battlefield Play4Free announces their first ever North American show at New York City’s “The Studio” at Webster Hall on June 19th

The band was formed 2004 and quickly went from unknown to household in their native country, when national TV station TV4 handpicked their debut-single “Time and Again” to accompany the promotion of their blockbuster show “Expedition Robinson” internationally known as “Survivor”. CORRODED went straight into the Swedish albumchart at #6 with their second album “Exit To Transfer”, following up on the success of their debutalbum “Eleven Shades of Black” 2009. No sign of weakness or willingness to fit any other mold than the one that they created with the debutalbum the second album “Exit to Transfer” digs deep within the same influences as before with the heavy rock acts of the 70:s with additional layers of a more modern sound shining through. With their third album to be released after the summer the band has again worked with Swedish platinum selling producer Patrik Frisk at Ninetone Records and the sound is again melodic, dark, heavy and very, very CORRODED.

The band has been touring immensely in their homeland , hitting most important clubs and festivals and are now starting their attack on the North American territory.

CORRODED‘s second album “Exit To Transfer” came out on last October, via Ninetone Records…  Some days ago I had a change to interview Jens Westin (singer and lead guitar) and Peter Sjödin (Guitar), and this what they told me…

 Hi Jens and Peter, I’m Tarja. Welcome to Metal Shock Finland! what was your first thought of this morning?

J: I think that speak for the whole band when I say, we really need a shower (no showers at the venue yesterday).

What makes you so corroded? what is the story behind your band name?

P: We are all old farts :) and all metal eventually goes corroded in the end.

Swedish rockers CORRODED have just released a brand new behind-the-scenes video detailing the making of the “Age Of Rage” soundtrack for the upcoming Electronic Arts (EA Games) free-to-play First Person Shooter game Battlefield Play4Free. The soundtrack, produced by Swedish producer Patrik Frisk at Ninetone Records, will be included on the international release of CORRODED‘s new album, “Exit To Transfer” (also produced by Frisk).

“Exit To Transfer” will be released in North America on September 27 via Ninetone Records. The CD, which landed on the official Swedish chart at position No. 6, draws influence from the heavy rock acts of the 1970s with additional layers of a more modern sound shining through.

Swedish heavy rockers CORRODED recently teamed up with Electronic Arts, one of the biggest video game publishers, to produce the main soundtrack “Age of Rage” for the upcoming free to play First Person Shooter game Battlefield Play4Free.

A worldwide digital release of the “Age of Rage” single is planned for March 31, while Battlefield Play4Free will launch on April 4. The song, produced by Patrik Frisk, will be included on the international release of the band’s second album, “Exit to Transfer”.

“Piece By Piece”, the new video from the CORRODED, can be viewed below.The song comes off “Exit To Transfer”, which entered the official chart in Sweden at position No. 6.

CORRODED‘s debut album, “11 Shades of Black”, entered the official chart in the band’s home country at position No. 18. Issued in Sweden on May 27 via Ninetone Records, the CD was produced by Swedish multi-platinum-selling producer Patrik Frisk.

CORRODED‘s musical style is described as “heavy aggressive rock peppered with a taste of grunge, ” not a million miles removed from “old-style NICKELBACK or CREED.”

Helsinki Metal Meeting in February 2011 – Program Ready

Helsinki Metal Meeting taking place during Feb 17.-19. has completed the line up for the main event at the Cable Factory. Norwegian up-and-comers KVELERTAK and Sweden’s GHOST have been added to the bill. Both of these new additions will be performing on Saturday 19.2.

Complete Finnish Metal Expo 2011 roster reads as follows:

Voting period ends on 31.12.2010 and 4 bands that receive the most votes will be performing at the SUOMI METAL STAR –finals at the Finnish Metal Expo on Saturday 19.2.2011.
