“Almost a year after the release of “Deathhammer” it’s time for a new goal! This time it will be a special Split EP, for which we will contribute an own new song as well as one or two cover tracks. More details will be revealed soon! As far as our upcoming live shows, the one at Roadburn festival will be quite special…ASPHYX is deeply honoured to play at that outstanding event and we will perform a special doom-set, which will include the heaviest tracks we have in our discography! Look out…”

ASPHYX’s “Deathhammer” was recently elected “Death Metal Album of the Year 2012” by Germany’s Metal Hammer magazine and who are we to object?! Congratulations! Read more about it here:

Holland doom death metallers ASPHYX have recently launched a brand-new video clip for the album’s title track “Deathhammer” via the Metal Hammer Germany website. You can watch the video on this location.

The “Deathhammer” video clip was shot earlier this month by Maurice Swinkels of Younique Film, who had earlier worked with the band on the bonus DVD for the “Death…The Brutal Way” album release as well as for bands like Exodus, Masterplan, Kataklysm and many more.

Yet another official Asphyx video, but this time slightly differently. A furious, “fast” clip with aggressive filming, which fits the song perfectly. This one was shot by Maurice of Legion Of The Damned and we knew that he could capture the spirit and intensity of the song 100%.And he did. The clip shows Asphyx in a true way….a band being themselves and doing their own thing. Enjoy!“ band posted.
