NUCLEAR BLAST has issued the following:

Swedish classic rock superstars, GRAVEYARD, just posted a brand new song called „Goliath“ to the music player on band’s Facebook profile,
http://www.facebook.com/graveyardofficial.

The official lyric video for the song can be streamed, shared and embedded in 1080p HD quality through this link:

„Goliath“ will be released on 7“ vinyl (four different cover/colours) and as digital download on September 21, 2012.

The song comes off the band’s highly anticipated new album, „Lights Out“, which will be released October 26, 2012.

Swedish blues rockers GRAVEYARD will shortly begin filming a video for the song “Goliath”, taken from their highly anticipated third album, “Lights Out”. The clip will be shot in a lo-fi way, just like GRAVEYARD‘s stunning video for “Hisingen Blues”, the title track of the band’s previous album. According to the band’s management, “it will go hand in hand with the sound of the song” and “the set will feature a late-night-show kind of vibe.”

“Lights Out” will be released on October 26 via Nuclear Blast Records. A single, “Goliath”, will precede the full-length CD on September 21 as a digital download and on seven-inch vinyl. The single will include a special non-album track, “Leaving You”.

The “Goliath” seven-inch vinyl will be issued in four different colors, featuring four different cover artworks.

“Lights Out” track listing:

01. An Industry Of Murder
02. Slow Motion Countdown
03. Seven Seven
04. The Suits, The Law & The Uniform
05. Endless Night
06. Hard Time Lovin’
07. Goliath
08. Fool In The End
09. 20/20 (Tunnel Vision)

Regarding the “Lights Out” cover artwork, GRAVEYARD states, “The cover is something completely different than the last cover. It has a lot to do with the title, ‘Lights Out’. Our goal was that both the title and the cover would sum up the feeling of the album. And just to make things clear, ‘Lights Out’ is not a reference to either UFO or ENTOMBED. Even though both are excellent bands.”

Comments the band: “The ['Goliath'] lyrics deal with the feeling that everyday life is a constant David vs. Goliath scene. You all know the story and the scene. You look around, get pissed off and want to ‘stick it to the man.’ Musically, it has many influences. And, as usual, we’ve tried to get it both heavy and swinging at the same time. So why don’t you just shake your record collecting old ass to the beat of the new tune from your favourite Swedish numbskulls?”

GRAVEYARD was honored with the “Best Hard Rock/Metal” award at the Swedish “Grammis” gala, which was held on February 14 at Kungliga Operan in Stockholm.

GRAVEYARD‘s second full-length album, “Hisingen Blues”, sold 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 48 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

“Hisingen Blues” entered the official chart in Sweden at position No. 1.

Swedish blues rockers GRAVEYARD have set “Lights Out” as the title of their next album, due on October 26 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented drummer Axel Sjöberg: “The title ‘Lights Out’ sums up the feeling of the new album, and a feeling that we have. That these times that we live in are strange times, where no one really sees anything straight/the way they are.”

He added, “We all know that both we and pretty much everyone was really excited about the cover of ‘Hisingen Blues’. So we had to come up with a really strong idea to match the strength of that cover. It’s just about finished now, but even without having seen the final version, we are convinced that no one will be disappointed by the cover to ‘Lights Out’. We’ve worked with several people that all added their part, and as the saying goes in Sweden: the sum of the parts is bigger than the parts alone. So sharpen your raven’s hatches and get ready for ‘Lights Out’.”
