ICED EARTH‘s August 19 concert at the ancient Kourion Amphitheater, outside Limassol in Cyprus, was professionally filmed and recorded for an upcoming CD/DVD release. 1,500 fans witnessed the show, which ran for three hours and featured on-stage scenery and artwork that was uniquely created for this special event. Veteran producer Jim Morris of Morrisound Studios (ICED EARTH, SEPULTURA, MORBID ANGEL, DEATH, SAVATAGE) flew in from Tampa, Florida to supervise the entire audio section with the help of the ToneDeaf Recording Studio.
In a brand new posting on the band’s Facebook page, ICED EARTH mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer writes, “We are locked and loaded and ready to roll out for the final leg of the Dystopia World Tour.
“The ‘Live In Ancient Kourion’ DVD will be released in early April, so I thought I would share the artwork with you.
“Nathan Perry and Felipe Machado Franco teamed up once again to bring you this kick-ass image.
“There is a lot of good things coming your way next year so stay tuned for updates.

On October 13, Next Mosh conducted an interview with ICED EARTH mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer at the LinePlot Productions booth at the New York Comic Con (NYCC) promoting the imminent release of the “Silver Circle” film, which Schaffer participated in. You can now watch the chat below.
“Silver Circle” is a film that lives in our world after massive economic collapse: tyranny, explosions, monetary mayhem, romance and rebels. At the center of corruption is the Federal Reserve who has gained enormous amounts of control over America’s economy, with disastrous effects beginning to show. Standing opposite is the band of Rebels who have vowed to take back the freedom they once knew…and they won’t go down without a fight.
“Silver Circle” plans to take liberty filmmaking to a whole other level.
The NYCC is the East Coast’s biggest and most popular culture convention. The show floor hosts comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. Panels and autograph sessions give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators.
The New York Comic Con is the second largest pop culture convention in America.
