EVOLUTION, band known not only for their music even for the great social commitment, are back with a new album that boasts extraordinary and exclusive participation of artists and engineers of great reputation worldwide as JEFF SCOTT SOTO, DEREK SHERINIAN, OTEP SHAMAYA, MARIO RISO, MARCO TRENTACOSTE and ANTONIO BAGLIO.
This new album, called “EVOLUTION” and entirely produced by the guitarist Gavino Salaris, was anticipated by the first single “LAST TIME (feat. JEFF SCOTT SOTO)”, published last March 11, 2011 in 96 countries around the world, which has met a great success from the very beginning entering, after just a few hours after its publication, at the position #143 of the italian BEST-SELLING POP SINGLES CHART then, after only 12 hours, up to the #93 of the same chart and, at the same time, also placed at the #192 of the ITUNES BEST-SELLING SINGLES IN ITALY.
“EVOLUTION” has been recorded and mixed also by MARCO TRENTACOSTE (producer of Le Vibrazioni, Lacuna Coil and the new album by Giusy Ferreri) into the Mauro Pagani’s OFFICINE MECCANICHE, the great and historical Recording Studios in Italy. In order to complete this great production, the entire album has been mastered by ANTONIO BAGLIO (the italian’s master engineer with more experience and credits) into his NAUTILUS STUDIO in Milano, the most famous mastering studio in Italy.
The album includes 11 tracks where EVOLUTION does not put the standard limit of one kind of music. The idea that the group leads on is to propose a blend of all the comtaminations and musical experience of each component, this makes every song very unique and special into the album, so they ranging from the hard rock of “Fake Face “and “Temptation” to the R’N'B of “A Gift To You”, from pop rock of “Last time “and “Not Safe” to the electronics of “Magic Box” and the metal style of “Change”, from the melodics “Close To You” and “Watch In Your Dreaming “to the italian’s pop of “Libera (Oltre i Tuoi Limiti)”and “(Viaggiando) Verso Te”.

JEFF SCOTT SOTO, since the early ’80s along with the great guitarist Y.J.Malmsteen, has established himself as one of the most beautiful voices in rock and one of the most prolific and enduring singers of the world of music. It is one of the few singers of its kind boasting an impressive number of collaborations: the most famous are Queen, Journey, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Axel Rudi Pell, Lita Ford, Paul Gilbert, Slaughter, Steelheart, Stryper, House of Lords, Michael Schenker, Zakk Wylde. He is also known for having voiced the protagonist of the film “Rock Star”.
“LAST TIME (feat. Jeff Scott Soto)” This has already met a big success throughout the world with over 5,000 downloads only on iTunes, increasing the wait for this new album by the band, but the great Jeff Scott Soto is just one of the great collaborations inside the new album of Evolution, in fact, the band boasts the participation of other great artists who have written the history of the international Rock.
In the song “MAGIC BOX” there’s a great keyboard solo preformed by the renowned DEREK SHERINIAN, unmistakable virtuoso, innovator and historical endorser of Korg who, throughout his career, has played with several artists including KISS, Dream Theater, Glenn Hughes, Alice Cooper, Y.J.Malmsteen, Billy Idol, Zakk Wylde, Slash, Black Country Communion and many others.
“CHANGE” opens with a particular percussion solo by the great Italian drummer MARIO RISO, creator of the social and musical project Rezophonic and co-founder of the italian satellite channel RockTV that, from the early age, has collaborated with many artists of the italian and International rock like Manowar, Gianluca Grignani, Jovanotti, L’Aura, 883 and Pino Scotto, just to mention a fews.
After the solo of Mario Riso, that is perfect with the ethnic /oriental atmosphere of the intro, the song become a strong and biting duet with unmistakable voice of OTEP SHAMAYA, frontwoman of alternative/metal band OTEP, band in witch collaborate members of Slipknot and that today is one of the most followed band in the world,each year the band boast the participations at big events as Ozzfest and shows as Headbanger’s Ball on MTV and the Late Show of Dave Navarro. This duet, where OTEP SHAMAYA sings in the two way that characterize her styles, represent the first duet of this artist that, to exception of its OTEP, never recorded a collaboration of this type.
