A while ago, restless Finnish folk metal pioneers KORPIKLAANI announced the first dates of their upcoming “Manala European Tour 2013”, starting end of January, with support coming from Estonian fellow folk metallers METSATÖLL. Now it’s time to unveil more cities that will get the chance to follow the sextet to the wondrous realms of Manala, the underworld in Finnish mythology – on the second tour leg in April! Check out the dates below.

Shortly after the end of the celebrated Heidenfest 2012 tour together with their label mates of WINTERSUN, restless Finnish folk metal pioneers KORPIKLAANI will soon be on the road again. In January and February of 2013, the band will embark on an extensive headliner tour in order to bring both their classics as well as the enchanting tunes of their latest album, Manala, (out since August 3rd, 2012) onto the European stages. Support will come from Estonian fellow folk metallers METSATÖLL.

Every fan knows about Korpiklaani’s onstage brilliancy. Now the band grants exclusive insight into their activities behind the scenes – in the form of a highly entertaining backstage tour of the Heidenfest 2012 show at LKA Longhorn, Stuttgart, hosted by front man Jonne Järvelä! TUSKA OPEN AIR METAL Festival has issued the following:

Finland’s biggest metal festival, the fifteenth edition of the annual Tuska Open Metal Festival has announced more Artists.

Thrash metal fans are in for a treat on Friday June 29th, as legendary Bay Area Thrashers EXODUS and re-united Finnish thrash trailblazers A.R.G. have been added to the bill. Also appearing on Tuska Friday will be Norwegian Avantgarde-metal act ARCTURUS.

British grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH have been added to the line up for Saturday June 30th.

General confusion will be added by urban grinders RAMIN KUNTOPOLKU.

Tickets for Tuska 2012 are now on sale at www.tiketti.fi and www.lippupalvelu.fi.

Advance ticket prices: 3 days 115 euros, one day 65 euros.

Tickets from the festival box office (if not sold out): 3 days 130 euros, one day 75 euros.

METSATÖLL
, the four-piece outfit from Estonia, will release its fifth studio album, “Ulg”, on December 5 via Spinefarm Records.

“Ulg”, meaning “The Howl”, was recorded from top to tail amongst the forests of southern Estonia, with legendary Finnish sound engineer Mikko Karmila (whose credits include CHILDREN OF BODOM and NIGHTWISH, and who worked with METSATÖLL on their previous album, “Aio”) coming on board to help the band prepare for this mighty task, before handing over to sound engineer Keijo Koppel to complete the recordings.
