Swedish death metallers DIABOLICAL have issued the following update:
Swedish death metal masters Diabolical have released a lyric video for the track “Into Oblivion”, which is taken from the upcoming album “Neogenesis”.
Bassist Dan Darforth comments: “We are thrilled to finally be able to share this track with the world. We have put several years of hard work into the creation of ‘Neogenesis’ and it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we now put this first part of ‘Neogenesis’ out for people to enjoy. The video is created by Sovka Ivanov, a great video artist that deserves a lot of respect and recognition. We are excited that he made this video for ‘Into Oblivion’ and I hope people will like it.”

”Neogenesis” will be released on the 27th of September. A series of unfortunate events including struggles with the print, illness of band members etc. led up to this decision to postpone the release but both the label and the band are confident that this is necessary in order to have it released in a proper way. Sadly this means a bit more of a wait for all of you, but this delay is not a matter of great importance in the grand scheme of things. For all of you who are looking forward to ‘Neogenesis’ – have patience, it’ll be worth it.

Swedish metallers DIABOLICAL have checked in with the following announcement:
DIABOLICAL reveals that there is more to the new album “Neogenesis” than just a collection of songs. “Neogenesis” is also a novel telling the story of the end of the world and what lies beyond. The book is written by guitarist Carl Stjärnlöv and each chapter of the book is represented by a song on the album. Stjärnlöv explains: “I’ve had this idea for many years and I’m very pleased that we went ahead and actually realized it. The novel tells the story of a man who fights to survive in a world that has come to an end. This struggle for survival is not only physical but also metaphysical and spiritual. The struggle of the protagonist is also a reflection of our struggle as human beings in a world which we cannot take for granted much longer.”
Stjärnlöv elaborates further on the book and the concept behind “Neogenesis” in the fourth installment of the band’s studio diary:
“Neogenesis” is due for release on the 19th of April via Vici Solum Productions and will be published as a media book (combined book and audio CD).
Diabolical will embark on the Neogenesis tour – First Chapter later this week and have released a video greeting which also contains footage of the band rehearsing a song from the “Neogenesis” album:

Swedish death metallers DIABOLICAL have issued the following:
“Neogenesis” – the fifth studio album of Diabolical will be released on the 19th of April.
Guitarist Tobias comments: “It is with great pleasure that we finally get to share this album with the world. We have put in a tremendous amount of effort into this recording and spent the most part of the last six months in Studio Necromorbus. I think we have raised the bar for ourselves a lot with ‘Neogenesis’ both with the songwriting and the recording. It has been tough, but very interesting for us as well.”

Guitarist Carl: “Originally I wanted someone else to do the artwork for us this time since I’ve done it for the last two releases and I also wanted to focus on the recording. However, in the end we didn’t find what we were looking for with any artist, so I once again took on the task. I wanted to make something that reflected the philosophical and spiritual aspects of this album and I had a vision of what I wanted. I discussed it with Pär and he and I realised the idea by him making a painting which I mixed with photos of all of us in the band, so what you see on the cover artwork is actually a band photo with all of us combined into one face blended with Pär’s painting. On top of that I added a lot of symbols that are significant to the concept of ‘Neogenesis’.”
Diabolical have added a Second Chapter to the Neogenesis Tour that will start off on the 12th of April with dates throughout Europe until the 21th of April.

Swedish death metallers DIABOLICAL will tour Europe in March in support of the new album “Neogenesis”, that will be released early 2013. This is the first chapter of the Neogenesis tour, and it will be joined by Souldrainer and Warheim. The tour will cover Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. More dates will be announced soon.
DIABOLICAL are in the progress of recording their fifth album, entitled “Neogenesis”, and have now released a pre-production teaser on Youtube.
Vocalist and guitarist Sverker Widgren comments: “The recording is well under way and the reults are very pleasing so far to say the least. However, it will take a while before we can share any of the actual album material, so we figured we can share some of our demo / pre-production material with all of you out there. I think it will be obvious to everyone now why we are very thrilled about the new album and it is our hope that you can join us in the excitement.”
