Nuclear Blast announce the great return of BRUJERIA!

The pioneers of industrial-tinged extreme metal FEAR FACTORY have signed a deal for North America & Europe with Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989, FEAR FACTORY changed the world of metal and have become a huge influence on the genre ever since their inception. The band’s unique sound helped bridge the gap between death metal, grindcore, thrash, and industrial on landmark releases like Soul Of A New Machine, Demanufacture, and the gold-selling release, Obsolete.
“Evolution and change are key elements in the non-stop growth of FEAR FACTORY,” comments guitarist Dino Cazares. “With that said, I am proud to be back working alongside the first man to believe in what we were doing back in 1990. He took a chance and signed us, and the rest is history. Monte Conner, once the main A&R man at Roadrunner Records, has now once again come back into the FEAR FACTORY family with his new home – Nuclear Blast Entertainment. We can’t wait to deliver an epic new album to kick off this new era.”
“FEAR FACTORY are truly one of the groundbreaking metal bands of our time,” adds Conner. “On their 1992 debut Soul Of A New Machine, Burton C. Bell introduced the world to the alternating heavy and melodic dual vocal approach that would go on to become a staple in metal to this very day. The following year, they were the first metal band to enter the industrial/dance remix world with the pioneering Fear Is The Mindkiller EP. And look at the countless metal bands who have since imitated the unique machine gun-style rhythm section, created when Dino Cazares’ staccato riffs locked in perfectly with the syncopated kick drums. I am excited to be reunited with this legendary band, and I am certain their Nuclear Blast Entertainment debut will be another FEAR FACTORY classic.”
FEAR FACTORY are currently working on material for their Nuclear Blast debut. The as-of-yet-untitled album will be co-produced by long-time collaborator Rhys Fulber, along with Cazares and Bell. A Winter 2015 release is expected.

FEAR FACTORY’s latest album, The Industrialist, debuted at position No. 38 on the American Billboard Top 200 chart in 2012. The band’s 2010 release, Mechanize, debuted at No. 72 on the American Billboard Top 200.

Burton C. Bell – Vocals
Dino Cazares – Guitars
Matt DeVries – Bass
Mike Heller – Drums
Manga metal-hardcore monsters RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have signed a worldwide licence deal with Nuclear Blast Records after owner/CEO, Markus Staiger, had watched and met the band at this year’s Summer Breeze Open Air.
Markus Staiger commented: “I was instantly blown away by the sheer power of their live performance! This is the brutality I was looking for! I immediately knew we had to have ROTNS on our roster! It is nothing but impressive what they have achieved in so little time – all on their own. Also this is another proof for the diversity of metal, the scene and our label! Samurai Spirit!“
The band commented: “We are proud of this new venture between our label Repression Records and the biggest independent metal record company Nuclear Blast.
ROTNS has spent years fighting like hell in the underground, and the opportunity of partnering with people who understand our artistic vision, respect our independent culture, not to mention defend the interests of an act that have influenced our sound, is the right move to take our band to the next level.
We are proud of our debut record, and Nuclear Blast’s firepower will give this album the global reach that we always aimed for.”
Driven by strong DIY ethics RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have paved their way into the scene since their inception in 2009 and have achieved a lot for a young band without support. Touring Asia & Europe alike, producing their own music videos (most of them gaining up to 1mil(!!!) clicks on YouTube) and creating their own cosmos has made the five piece to one of the most exciting bands around.
The band’s spirit was born in the back alleys of the 1980s Shibuya* district. The heart of their music indeed is the Japanese culture, its mangas and Furyos*. (*check attached glossary at the bottom)
In the band’s young career, RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have release two globally successful EPs and have toured not only Japan, but also Spain, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium and France as well as China and Taiwan. This past summer, RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have destroyed festival stages all over Europe including euphorically received gigs at With Full Force and Summer Breeze.
Enter 2014 and RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have finished their impatiently awaited debut album, ‘Welcame’. Mixed and mastered by renowned producer Zeuss (MADBALL, HATEBREED, EMMURE), ‘Welcame’ is set to be released November 24th via Nuclear Blast. Find the stunning cover art (executed by the band’s gifted singer, Vithia) below.
Let the mosh crush you, let the riffs tear you apart and bounce to RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR’s relentless groove!

After successfully concluding their world-tour in support of the 2013 output “Straight Out Of Hell”, the party has been concluded upon the festival summer.
Clearly no time to sit back and relax, as the pumpkin heads HELLOWEEN will heading right for their very own MiSueno Studios, located on the isle of Tenerife to start working on the successor of “Straight Out Of Hell” in October. Joining the band to handle production duties will be long-term companion Charlie Bauerfeind. The new album which is set for a release in May 2015 will be the first since HELLOWEEN have inked a new deal with old label home Nuclear Blast, where they released two albums – “The Dark Ride” (2000) and “Rabbit Don’t Come Easy” (2003), both of which have been re-issued with extended bonus material in 2013.
Last but not least, HELLOWEEN would like to send out a big “Thank You” to all the Helloween Maniacs worldwide with some live impressions of the title track of the charting success “Straight Out Of Hell” turned out to be, landing on a sensational #4, their highest German chart entry to date, holding this position for five long weeks. Additionally they made another five Top ten entries in Europe and also cracked the US Billboard Charts.

The band states:
“Wow! We just received some pretty incredible news – our new album “Origins” entered Germanys official album charts at rank 6!!!

Symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH are proud to announce their newly-inked North American deal for the U.S. and Canada via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The band’s as-yet-untitled eighth studio album will be the first to feature new Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen, who has toured with the band since October 2012.
Expanding the territory of NIGHTWISH’s initial European collaboration with Nuclear Blast‘s HQ in Germany since 2004’s Once album, NBE President and A&R Chief Monte Conner looks forward to the growth of the band’s new line-up:
“It was a pleasure to work with NIGHTWISH at my former label, but now in my new capacity at NBE, I will be more directly involved with the band than ever before. I would like to thank NIGHTWISH and their management for their continued faith in and loyalty to me. I am particularly excited at the prospect of hearing Floor Jansen’s debut studio recording with the band. Her performance on last year’s live release Showtime, Storytime completely blew me away and proved why she is the PERFECT singer for NIGHTWISH.”
NIGHTWISH’s long-time co-manager Ewo Pohjola of King Foo Entertainment adds the following:
“Having Monte Conner now back with NIGHTWISH in North America makes us all really happy. And with Nuclear Blast we have always felt at home since Day One.”
Recordings of the new NIGHTWISH material are slated begin this summer. Band members have already spent time in the wilderness of Hattula, Finland working on new song demos with producer Tero “TeeCee” Kinnumen.
“It’s proven to be a very effective arrangement,” states song composer & keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen. “We have our peace here, in the middle of nature. We can concentrate 24/7.”
“There’s stuff that sounds excellent already and stuff that clearly needs some work still,” adds bassist & vocalist Marco Hietala. “We have such a strong belief in the end result that we know if will work like alchemy: Scheiße [shit] will turn to gold.”
