VALOR Signs With PITCH BLACK RECORDS

Greek epic heavy metal band VALOR has inked a deal with Pitch Black Records. The group’s new album, “The Yonder Answer”, will be released on March 5. The CD “is the result of an intensive collaborative effort between all band members the result of which is an album full of melody and passion and pure epic heaviness!” according to a press release.

VALOR was formed in 2002 and two years later released its first mini-CD, “The Nameless One”, which received high praise from international underground media. In 2008 came the band’s first full-length album, “Destiny’s Path”, which was met with great reviews while laying down a strong foundation for a solid bond between bandmembers as friends and as musicians.

MARAUDER joins PITCH BLACK RECORDS

PITCH BLACK has issued the following:

Legendary Greek classic metal band MARAUDER have joined forces with Pitch Black Records. Having recently celebrated 22 years since the band was formed, with a number of metal anthems composed throughout the years and having established themselves as one of the most respected acts of the Greek metal scene, MARAUDER are now back with their fifth album, “Elegy of Blood”.

MARAUDER were formed in early 1990 and have since then performed live countless times in Greece and abroad, acquiring a huge following and the respect and admiration of many amongst their local scene.

Label owner Phivos Papadopoulos, commented on this particular signing: “When in the early 90’s I was writing (yes writing, not emailing) this band to send me their demo tape I never imagined that 20 years later they would be signing under my own record label. The decision to sign MARAUDER was instantaneous and it’s with great pleasure that we welcome the band to the PBR family, not just because of the personal factor but also because they are a kick-ass band that truly deserves as much recognition as possible!”

“Elegy of Blood” is comprised of ten PURE heavy metal songs. Powerful and passionate melodic metal compositions make this a highly anticipated release, particularly amongst the band’s die-hard fans. Released on May 15th, the album will be available through Pitch Black Records and its distribution partners as well as through major mp3 stores with the CD version including a bonus track.

PITCH BLACK RECORDS announces the addition of Danish female-fronted melodic death metal outfit ILLNATH into its roster of artists with the band’s third release, “Third Act in the Theatre of Madness” scheduled for release on November 18th (21st in the UK) 2011.

Formed in 1999, ILLNATH are a band which has evolved explosively through the years. Initially labeled as a symphonic black metal act their style is now a “mature” blend of melodic/symphonic death metal.

Having released a demo in 2000, IILLNATH’s debut album (“Cast into Fields of Evil Pleasure”) came in 2003 with the follow-up (“Second Skin of Harlequin”) in 2006. The band toured extensively in Europe and has also played in various European festivals. The band’s third album (“Third Act in the Theatre of Madness”) is the band’s most melodic yet at the same time extreme offering to date.

The band has a completely new lineup comprised of original member Pete Falk on guitars (also handling the main songwriting tasks), the powerful voice of Mona Beck, the killer basslines of Kenneth Frandsen and session drummer Reno Killerich.

“Third Act in the Theatre of Madness” will be available worldwide through Pitch Black Records and its distribution partners as well as through all major mp3 stores. The CD version will also feature a bonus track.
