SABATON Confirmed To Headline Norway’s Karmøygeddon Festival 2013

Sweden’s SABATON have been confirmed to headline the Karmøygeddon Festival in Haugesund, Norway on May 3rd, 2013. Other bands on th ebill include PARADISE LOST, ELUVEITIE, GRAND MAGUS, BRAINSTORM and SEPTICFLESH. Go to this location for event details.

Sabaton have posted a series of clips from one of the cameras filming for their upcoming Blu-ray / DVD:

“Big sorry for the terrible sound and a huge thanks to the fantastic crowd! This was an amazing night that we never will forget!”

The show was filmed on November 16th in Gothenburg, Sweden at Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden. The band hopes to release the DVD in 2013. Stay tuned for updates.

SEPTICFLESH Added To AMON AMARTH’s European Tour

Greek demons SEPTICFLESH will open for Swedish death metallers AMON AMARTH on their European tour which kicks off October 12 in Stuttgart, Germany and ends on November 26 in Prague, Czech Republic. Direct support on the trek will come from AS I LAY DYING.

SEPTICFLESH released its new album, “The Great Mass”, on April 18 in Europe (April 19 in North America) via Season Of Mist. The cover artwork of the album’s jewel case edition was designed by Seth Siro Anton. The main artwork for “The Great Mass” appears on the limited digipak edition, the gatefold LP and the dust jacket of the collector’s book.

“Surtur Rising”, the eighth studio album from AMON AMARTH, sold around 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 34 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous CD, “Twilight of the Thunder God”, opened with more than 11,000 copies back in 2008 to land at No. 48.

Children Of Bodom, The Devin Townsend Project, Obscura, Septicflesh To Tour North America

Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM will embark on a North American headlining tour in late June. Main support on the month-long trek will come from THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, with openers OBSCURA and SEPTICFLESH rotating positions each night.

“We are psyched to see all of our friends in North America and to play our new songs live for all of the BODOM maniacs,” commented CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho. “Get ready to throw it down!”

So far only one date has been released: July 19 at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts.
