SICK OF IT ALL lunatics will immediately recognize the voice that can be heard in the clip — the one and only KRS-One, who made an appearance on the track “Clobberin’ Time” from 1989′s “Blood, Sweat And No Tears”. He makes a return appearance on “Nonstop”, not only on the re-recorded version of “Clobberin’ Time” but also on “Clobberin’ Time – KRS-One Civilization Mix”, which will be a special bonus track included on the album.

The band added, “It was a fun recording session, and a relatively easy one because we’re so used to playing so many of these songs live. They’re like second nature. Most of these songs make their way into our live sets all the time, so they’re current — they reach new ears and are constantly refreshed by their exposure to a brand new audience. It’s not like they had to be dusted off.
“We changed tempos mostly and some of the arrangements, but we didn’t want to do anything too drastic. We wanted to keep most of the songs true to the originals, but with a more powerful sound that we feel makes them all they can be.”

Xuxa Jurássica Produções & Management has uploaded interview and performance footage featuring New York hardcore legends Sick Of It All and Madball filmed when the two bands played at Cine-Teatro de Corroios in Corroios, Portugal on October 22, 2010. Check out the 12-minute clip below.
Sick of It All is a hardcore punk band formed in 1986. The band is one of the most influential band in the history of hardcore punk, belonging to the modern hardcore scene, for all the good reasons, the SOIA can be considered as “godfathers of the world’s HC scene. “Based on a True Story” is their ninth studio album, released April 20, 2010 via Century Media Records. Sick of It All are: Lou Koller (vocals), Pete Koller (guitar), Craig Setari (bass), Armand Majidi (drums).
A few weeks ago, Sick of It All, performed at New Age Club in Roncade (Treviso-Italy), sharing the stage with another NY HC icon, Madball. I had just finished interviewing Freddy from Madball. For many reasons, before leaving to Roncade, I hadn’t a chance to fix the interview with Sick Of It All, but their tourmanager kindly asked me to wait while he went to see if the band is available or doing the soundcheck. Exactly after 2 minutes, Armand (Majidi) entered the backstage, the drummer of Sick Of It All, and I said smiling: “Hi Tarja, I’m Armand and I’m here for the interview” Very Good! We sat down on the sofa, where only moments before I had talked with Freddy.
New York hardcore legends Madball have parted ways with drummer Jay Weinberg, the 20-year-old son of Max Weinberg (Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band).
Commented Madball frontman Freddy Cricien: “I’m letting Jay go (mid-tour) in Canada because I just feel he doesn’t represent this band well on a character level. It would go against my own code of ethics to keep him around. Not saying he’s a bad drummer. I won’t take that away from him. But the reality is — he has a lot to learn about paying dues, and about life in general. Granted, he is a kid, but I’m not sure that he’ll ever be built for this particular lifestyle. I wish him the best of luck, but the Madball machine rolls on!”
Madball will finish out the tour with a soon-to-be-announced replacement drummer. All future band plans, including their upcoming European tour with Sick Of It All, and most importantly, the release of the group’s new album, “Empire”, on October 12, remain unaffected and on schedule. The title track from “Empire” is now available for streaming on the Stereo Killer web site (http://www.stereokiller.com).
