Tuska Open Air Festival organizers announce the 19th TUSKA taking over Helsinki next summer:
As previous years, we’re heading towards three days of metal mayhem including top-notch bands, great people and high-class area services. TUSKA 2016 will be held at Suvilahti, Helsinki from Friday 1.7. to Sunday 3.7.2016. Three-day Early Crow tickets and VIP-packages go on sale Oct 30 at 9am.
First four TUSKA 2016 bands are BEHEMOTH, TSJUDER, TESTAMENT and PRIMORDIAL.
BEHEMOTH will bring ”The Satanist” -show to Tuska stage. The band’s latest album is rich and varied in its soundscape and filled with metaphors written by front man Nergal. TSJUDER treats its Hellsinki audience with their uncompromising black metal. This Norwegian trio was formed 1993 and is still known for its unique sound.
California’s own thrash patrol TESTAMENT is one of the cornerstones of its genre. The band’s career started back in 1987 when the group released its debut album ”The Legacy”. Ever since Testament has sold more than 14 million albums worldwide and according to Alex Skolnick 11th Testament album is coming out in early 2016. That said, Tuska-goers are about to enjoy fresh Californian thrash rhythms next summer.
Ireland based PRIMORDIAL is titled as the black metal pioneer of their home country. Quintet’s sound is unique combining melodical elements of celtic and folk metal to raw black metal. During the years the band has honed its sound and song writing to top level of which ”Where Greater Man Have Fallen” -album is a solid proof.

Tuska 2015 offered many upgraded area services and done uplifts were highly acclaimed within Tuska audience. So, in addition to TUSKA 2016 high-class line up fest-goers are able to enjoy the festival atmosphere at Tuska Libre -area while having sauna and drinks. Black Dining restaurant serves dark themed dishes where as area’s Food Garden gathers varied set of upscale vendors.
