HEAVEN SHALL BURN: Launch “Die Stürme Rufen Dich”

Century Media Records have announced the following news:

HEAVEN SHALL BURN have made another song available taken off their upcoming album “VETO”. For “Die Stürme Rufen Dich” they teamed up with EMP, so go straight to the following link: http://www.emp.de/brand/heaven-shall-burn/lis_Heaven%20Shall%20Burn_bandbrand/

Rob Franssen and Dominik Stammen of BORN FROM PAIN popped into the studio to record guest vocals for the song.

In Europe and Australia/NZ the following formats are available of “VETO:

Ltd. Edition 3CD Box Set (strictly limited, only available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

Ltd. Edition 2CD

LP+CD

Standard CD Jewelcase

+ several digital formats

While the album was mixed by Tue Madsen there is an alternative mix available for all the sound addicts out there as the vinyl and the Ltd. Edition 3CD Box Set. Maik Weichert (guitar) explains: “The vinyl version and the Ltd. Edition 3CD Box Set of the record will feature an alternative mix, called “Blizzard Over England Mix” by nobody less than Colin Richardson. The story behind the strange name for the mix: We were ready to fly over to England and mix the record, but there was a huge snow chaos in the UK, no planes, no trains, roads blocked no way to get there. Colin was even snowed in and could not get out of the studio at all. So he mixed in almost absolute isolation and brought in a lot of interesting thoughts – without us sitting on the couch in the back and giving our “valuable” advices… We really like the result and thought you should also listen to it. Most people might not find the mixes are any different, but those who are interested in sounds and tweaking can discover lots of different details. The vinyl will come with a CD that has the entire album in the Tue Madsen mix while Colin Richardson’s mix will be added as additional and 3rd CD to the Ltd. Edition 3CD Box Set that is only available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”

 

“VETO” is scheduled to be released on the following dates:

HEAVEN SHALL BURN: To Release New Album

HEAVEN SHALL BURN has just finished recording their upcoming album, “VETO”, which is scheduled to be released on the following dates:

Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Norway: April 19th, 2013

Rest of Europe: April 22nd, 2013

Australia / New Zealand / Finland: April 26th, 2013

USA/Canada: April 30th, 2013

 

Maik Weichert (guitar) comments about “VETO”: “We cannot wait to play the album to people! It turned out very diverse, it’s melodic, emotional and brutal at the same time. Several guests visited us in the studio for additional performances, so you can look forward to some interesting twists!”

 

Due to a recent event, Maik would like to share a first song title: “Just while finalizing the very last bits and pieces for ‘VETO’ we received the sad news that Walter Schilling passed away in Saalfeld on January 29th. Walter Schilling was a Protestant pastor and civil rights activist in the GDR (former East Germany). We have a new song called ‘Antagonized’ that is about him, his life and his work in Thuringia. It might seem odd that a band called HEAVEN SHALL BURN is dedicating a song to a man of the church. Still, Schilling was never into clerical dogmas. Instead he encouraged and helped teenagers to pursue new and alternative cultural ideas under the protective shield of his church and youth centre in Braunsdorf near Saalfeld. Without Walter Schilling a huge part of the youth culture and music in Thuringia wouldn’t have happened – this probably goes for the GDR in general. No matter if you liked Blues, played Punk or Metal, every single person was welcome in Braunsdorf, Saalfeld, Rudolstadt or Jena. Schilling helped establishing what enabled HSB to play music, because most of the clubs and musicians that supported us in our very early days were directly or indirectly involved with Schilling’s work. You will not find many theologians of Walter’s kind.”
