SAVAGE MESSIAH: Confirm UK Tour With WINTERSUN

Earache Records have announced that UK metallers SAVAGE MESSIAH have confirmed a UK tour with Finland’s WINTERSUN and fellow UK band BLOODSHOT DAWN.

SAVAGE MESSIAH will be taking a break from recording their as-yet untitled new album to take part in the five-date trek, which kicks off on July 16th at the Garage in London.  The band will then be heading out around the UK again in October on a mini headlining tour.

SAVAGE MESSIAH lead guitarist Joff Bailey comments:

“Me and the boys will be taking a break from recording our new album in July to tear up the road again around the UK with WINTERSUN!  The band is in fighting form at the moment and we’re set to raise absolute hell around the UK on this tour and our headline shows in October!  We’ll also be previewing some brand new songs taken from the new record throughout all of these dates, making it the heaviest Savage Messiah set list to date!  It really is gonna kick ya fuckin’ skulls in.  Mark our words… WE MEAN FUCKIN’ BUSINESS!!  We really can’t wait to rip the throat out of these shows and catch up with all the Savages around the country!  See you in the pit – then at the bar, mutha fukkas!  BRING IT!!!”

After having attracted enthusiastic reviews with their self-produced EP in 2010, Wind Rose teamed up with renowned musician and producer Cristiano Bertocchi (Labyrinth, Vision Divine) to work on their debut album ‘Shadows Over Lothadruin’, which combines their classical background with powerful guitars, huge orchestrations and epic atmospheres. ‘Shadows Over Lothadruin’ was mastered by Goran Finnberg (Opeth, Dark Tranquillity). After several sold-out shows last year on their inaugural North American co-headlining tour with ELUVEITIE, Finnish epic metallers WINTERSUN will return to North American shores once again for a headlining tour this August-September sponsored by MetalSucks! Hubble Music Promotion has issued the following:

The Ilosaarirock Festival or Rokki, as the event is informally known, has been around since 1971 and has since then grown to be one of the main events of the Finnish rock festival calendar. The 21,000 tickets on sale have been sold out in advance every year during the past decade. There is a total of five stages at the festival, in addition to the club events, held on Friday at the actual festival site. During its entire history, the festival has presented bands and artists from both Finland and abroad.

Among this year’s artists are Finnish Metal Heroes WINTERSUN who are currently working on their third studio album “TIME II” to be released in early 2014. After touring through all of Europe and thrilling fans with their fantastic stage show the band will join the Ilosaarirock roster to play on their main stage Sunday evening, July 14, to deliver another killer performance!

Ilosaarirock will take place from July 12-14 2013 in Joensuu / Finland.

Metallers WINTERSUN has just been confirmed to play several shows in UK and Ireland in July 2013. The Finns will rock the stages in London, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin and Bristol.
