Finnish black metallers CAVUS have commenced work on the material for their sophomore album, tentatively due in the fall of 2012 via Listenable Records.

After sharing the stage with such acts as MAYHEM, BEHEXEN and SÓLSTAFIR and spending time on the road in Europe with GORGOROTH on the “Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt” tour, CAVUS will begin pre-production on the follow-up to 2010′s “Fester And Putrefy” after performing at this summer’s Tuska and Nummirock festivals in Finland.

CAVUS vocalist W described the new songs as “more of everything.”

The band is planning to embark on two more European tours before the release of the as-yet-untitled effort.

Formed in 2008 in Porvoo, CAVUS “set out to pillage and desecrate everything in its path with a sinister blend of crushingly heavy, old-school black metal with baritone guitars and juggernautic basses along with raw-to-the-bone vocals that earned the group great recognition,” according to a press release. “No keyboards, no fairies, no bullshit. This is straight-up rawness and CAVUS will spread like a virulent plague among legions worldwide.”

THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX — the Swedish band featuring Jörgen Sandström (vocals; VICIOUS ART, KRUX, ex-ENTOMBED, GRAVE), Lord K. Philipson (guitar; TORTURE DIVISION, ex-GOD AMONG INSECTS, HOUSE OF USHER, LEUKEMIA), Anders Bertilsson (guitar; COLDWORKER), Tobben Gustafsson (drums; TORTURE DIVISION, VOMITORY) and Portuguese vocalist Ms. Roque (a.k.a. Ruby Roque of WITCHBREED) — has commenced the songwriting sessions for its next album. Philipson states, “To beat [2011's] ‘Bleeding The New Apocalypse (Cum Victriciis In Manibus Armis)’ will be a monumental task, one we will, of course, accomplish.

“I am currently working on a huge bunch of things music wise and at the moment there’s tons of stuff, song sketches and ideas to continue to work with, with one of these ideas already clocking in at over six minutes — meaning it looks like this one will be the first one completed for the next recording.

“We really do not have any schedules as for when to record this and it will take the time it takes to make it all answer to the standards I have for THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX. We haven’t even discussed with Season Of Mist if they will release the next album or not; it will all show eventually. What we do know, though, is that we are determined to create another insane monster of apocalyptic visions, brutality and beauty.”

THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX‘s seventh album, “Bleeding The New Apocalypse (Cum Victriciis In Manibus Armis)”, was released in February via Season of Mist. The CD was mixed and mastered by Swedish producer and multi-intrumentalist Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, NIGHTINGALE) and contains six songs with a running time of over 60 minutes.

Finnish metal band, Warmen, assembled by keyboard player Janne Viljami Wirman, has issued the following:

Warmen has started to put together new material for the follow up for the band’s critically acclaimed 2009’s studio effort “Japanese Hospitality”. Led by Children Of Bodom’s keyboard player Janne Warman, the band hopes to find time to work intensively on the album in 2011 despite COB’s hectic touring schedule. Warmen is looking to have their fifth album completed by the end of the year.

Janne Viljami Wirman has been playing with Children of Bodom since 1997, and on the year of 2000 created a musical project focused on instrumental work, which would only have guest singers on a few selected songs.

Finnish death metallers Torture Killer have issued the following update:

“The tours and shows to support our third album, ‘Sewers’, are now complete. Doing a full list of dates here back home, European tour with Demonical, a Russian tour, homeland festivals and the Baltic dates with Cannibal Corpse behind us, we will now look into the future. We have a bunch of songs at demo phase and will start working on them in the coming weeks.

“2011 will not see a new full-length but we are doing something for sure, a mini-CD or a seven inch. More on that as things move forward.
