WINDSWEPT, the Ukrainian black metal band featuring DRUDKH mastermind Roman Sayenko, have premiered the new track “Stargazer”.
“Stargazer” is taken from the forthcoming new album ‘The Onlooker’, coming February 8, 2019 via Seasons of Mist.
The ferocious new album features eight tracks of ice-cold, imperial black metal. ‘The Onlooker’ sees WINDSWEPT’s burning intensity on full display, as Sayenko’s whirlwind riffing collides with some of his most sombre melodies to date. A testament to the spirit of black metal at its most raw and uncompromising, ‘The Onlooker’ sees them rising to the height of their powers.
‘The Onlooker’ is available for preorder across CD and LP editions (both limited to one pressing only) at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

WINDSWEPT was conceived by DRUDKH mastermind Roman Sayenko in cooperation with two fellow band members in 2017. The trio shared a common goal to express their creative ideas by writing swiftly and capturing these sounds with the raw and authentic feeling of a live performance.
The band’s debut album ‘The Great Cold Steppe’ (released March 2017) was inspired by the cold and harsh realities of the hostile and fierce Eastern steppes. Reflecting upon notions of traditions and the past, the musicians released the ‘Visionaire’ EP on Van Records in early 2018.
Built on the same foundations, the forthcoming new record ‘The Onlooker’ once more employs a raw, fierce sound reminiscent of earlier days and captured by spending only a few of days in the studio.
