Juuso Raatikainen‘s (Swallow the Sun, Hedonihil) SOUNDS OF DELUSION releasing second, heavier track The Walking Cancer. With Okko Solanterä (Horizon Ignited, I Am the Night) on vocals the band introduces it’s sludgy side, telling the tale of toxic people blessing everyone with their presence. All hail the narcissist alphas, sometimes found in the mirror.

GHOST Tease “New Singer” Papa V Perpetua on Social Media, Marking the Beginning of Next Era

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 7, 2025

Ghost have hinted at the imminent arrival of their “new singer” Papa V Perpetua via social media, officially ushering in the band’s next chapter. As always, behind the character is none other than Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge, who is once again stepping into a new role.

The announcement came as part of the Black Sabbath Tribute Show, set for July 5th in Birmingham, where Papa V Perpetua will perform live as part of a supergroup featuring well-known musicians from the scene.

Ghost shared a cryptic message on Instagram: We wish to inform you: V is coming… to Birmingham on July 5th.”

What Papa V Perpetua will look like remains a mystery for now. However, with the tour kicking off in April, Ghost is expected to fully unveil their new persona soon.

Is a new Ghost album on the way?

The big question on fans’ minds: Will Papa V Perpetua bring a new Ghost album with him?

Ghost have introduced each new era with an album, so the odds are in favor. Papa Emeritus IV followed the same pattern, debuting with Impera (2022) before taking his final bow on October 7, 2023, at the last show of the album cycle.

However, an official confirmation is still pending.

The promising Finnish modern metal band Without Warning has released a new single which covers the Muse classic “Time Is Running Out” with an electronic metal twist. The original hit song got a fresh breeze of metal air without losing its familiar elements, which we all recognize. Without Warning has made sure to incorporate their compelling bass rhythms and strong vocals, which has become a noticeable element in their production.

LISTEN to the single on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/ww-time

  • Composers: Bellamy Matthew James, Howard Dominic James, Wolstenholme Christopher Tony
  • Text: Bellamy Matthew James
  • Arrangement: Aleksi Rintala

Without Warning is known for their capability to combine the harshness of metal with modern fusion and interpretation. With the new single the band proves yet again, that rules are meant to be broken and the band is always curious to go beyond the limits.

– We had been thinking about doing a cover song for a while and we didn’t want to choose something mainstream. Muse is a well known band with a unique sound and they’ve made many hits along the way. Personally I’ve always liked their production. The choice felt right from the beginning and bringing it to life in our style came easily. The cover respects the original song as intended, but with a heavy influence of our metal sound, says producer and bassist Aleksi Rintala.

The band has also released an official visualizer on their YouTube-channel.

SPRING LIVE SHOWS:
4.4.2025 METAL VISIONS, Skenesali Vantaa – Numento, Egres & Without Warning
16.5.2025 CYAN KICKS X IKINÄ mini-tour, Apollo Turku – Cyan Kicks & Ikinä + Without Warning

WITHOUT WARNING
Exploring the rough and dark sonic possibilities, Without Warning combines inspiration from various metal and electronic sub-genres. Creating a fusion that both shakes you with heavy modern features and soft melodic finishes. Without Warning continues to grow as they take their place in the modern metal scene, creating an exclusive brand beyond music. Dive into the world of electronic illusion, sink into the depths of darkness. Become one – with Without Warning.

Line-up:
Vocals: Michaela Tuomenoksa

BLACK SABBATH Say Goodbye – Final Concert with Metallica, Gojira + Many More

It’s the end of an era: Black Sabbath, the undisputed pioneers of heavy metal, have announced their final concert. On July 5, 2025, the band will take the stage one last time—at the place where it all began: Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham. With the fitting title “Back To The Beginning,” this event marks the ultimate conclusion of a career that has shaped the genre for decades.

Unlike their last farewell concert in 2017, where Bill Ward was absent, this time Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward will reunite on stage—for the first time in 20 years.

Ozzy Osbourne commented on this historic event with heartfelt words:

“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

A Lineup for the History Books

In addition to Black Sabbath, an all-star lineup of bands will make this night unforgettable: Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon—a lineup that will go down in heavy metal history.

But that’s not all.

For this one-of-a-kind occasion, an exclusive metal supergroup has been assembled, bringing together some of the most influential musicians in the genre. The lineup includes:

Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E Lee, Jonathan Davis (Korn), KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Slash, Sleep Token II (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Wolfgang Van Halen, and Zakk Wylde.

Tom Morello, who will serve as the event’s musical director, sums it up perfectly:

“This will be the greatest heavy metal show of all time!”

When Do Tickets Go on Sale?

Ticket sales begin on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM GMT on LiveNation.co.uk.

Beyond its musical significance, this concert will also support a charitable cause: All proceeds will be donated to various organizations, including Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and the Acorn Children’s Hospice.
