Danish sludge metallers GRAVA are gearing up for the release of their new album “Weight of a God”, which will be coming out on November 28th 2022 via Aesthetic Death.
Everything Is Noise is now hosting an exclusive premiere of the record. Stream it at THIS LOCATION.
Songs seen through the eyes of the dying.
GRAVA spew forth a maelstrom of angst-ridden, emotive sludge – which emanates from a hardcore foundation and mentality.
Sludge heaviness, hardcore intensity – bleak desperation. Short tracks, that just sound dense, blackened and ugly – which are written and delivered with a real soul – just one that has been emptied of colour and hope. Amidst the blunt brutality there are brief interjections, moments of paradoxical beauty. Soon extinguished.
Every song on the album is an attempt to portray a human being’s meeting with death. Inspired by historical narratives but also by happenings closer to the band, actively pursuing those moments through their music and lyrics. The resulting music has been expressive, fragmented and painful – you will find no complete narrative in the lyrics or musical structure, only the bits and pieces of the world…. as seen through the eyes of the dying.
“Weight of a God” is not an easy experience. It takes time to ingest and come to terms with the album. However, anyone who takes the time to become at one with these tracks will discover an album which urges repeated listening.
LP + MC versions to be released through Danish label VinylTroll.
Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark – GRAVA only formed in 2020 but feature ex-members of Whelm amongst their skilled personnel.

Dagon had this to say regarding the production so far, “Wayne Static was one of my heroes growing up and it’s an honor to be able to make a movie that includes never-before-seen footage of him. TWISTED MIND is an eclectic metal band influenced by a kaleidoscope of musicians that have inspired guitarist Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician of Yemenite and Moroccan-based heritage who grew up in a home where oriental music was frequently played. He formed the band in 2017 and in December, will have their debut album “From Slave To Prophet” ready to delight open-minded listeners around the world. The first single “Walked Through Hell”, captures the true essence of the band who shot the video in one night. They share their thoughts on the record and how they came up with the concept name:
“This EP is all about our timeline from where we started back then at the beginning of the pandemic and through the war of getting rock and roll less stigmatic. We strive to be the ones who will break the glass ceiling of musical genres. We didn’t come from great money and wealth. We are warriors, fighting hard and aiming to become something bigger, something which will bring a “word”. And while we are on our way, we try to inspire people to fight for their beliefs, unite for a cause, open their minds to other points of view and create amazing things together which will maybe make the world a better place.”
Every member of Twisted Mind is a great believer in the power of music and its ability to bring different worlds and traditions together. They hope and aspire that the new mix of cultures and sounds in their music will break the invisible wall and crush the stigmas between the genres and their rigid rules. Overall, “From Slave To Prophet” is something, fresh, and different.
This modern Israeli and self dubbed ‘Happy Metal’ band is recommended for anyone looking for something intriguing, and also for fans of Metallica, Muse, and Dhafer Youssef. The official video for “Walked Through Hell” is out now and the EP comes out on December 9, 2022.

About: The AOR rock/metal group Twisted Mind was founded in 2017 by Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician of a Yemenite & Moroccan-based heritage. Dan grew up in a home where oriental music was a Major part of his musical background
After a long process of creating a musical concept, Dan was joined by the other members, achieving this final line-up. The four joining members helped mold the sound, bringing their own styles, influences, and cultural heritage to Twisted Mind, thus creating a powerful combination of music that fuses the power and aggression of heavy metal, throughout the liberating energy of modern rock & roll.
And all this while using ethnical Middle Eastern music – emerging from their homeland and from the band members’ heritage and their own family ‘DNA’.Starting in San’aa –Yemen, through Istanbul – Turkey, passing through the deserts of Libya and traveling the long roads to a garage in Los Angeles.
Boston-based hard rock act, LANSDOWNE, has announced the release details of their upcoming, hotly-anticipated studio album! Medicine will be coming out on February 3rd through AFM Records, and is already poised to top Album of the Year lists to reign as one of the best rock records in 2023!
Following previously-released singles, “Burn Brighther” and the album title track, today, LANSDOWNE have shared a music video for their new single “Halo”! Says the band:
“Halo is about letting someone go, whether it’s the end of a relationship or a life, the song is a devastating look inside how we process loss. The hurt, anger, confusion, all the questions we’ve asked that are left unanswered and all the questions we have that we’ll never get the chance to ask. But it’s also a memorial to the impact that people that we’ve lost have had on our lives. They may be physically gone but they never truly leave us.
Halo is a devastating look inside of the reality of loss and learning how to come to terms with the aftermath.
We have all lost people. Some of us are in the middle of losing people right now and going through that process can be unbearable. Halo is about that full range of emotions, from anger to despair, confusion, and acceptance. It’s about knowing that the people that we love never really leave us.”
Ever since they took the hard rock world by storm, LANSDOWNE built their name the old fashioned way – on the road; having performed countless shows internationally, including a 2007 tour for the troops across Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, as well as sharing the stage with rock heavyweights such as Theory of a Deadman, Puddle of Mudd, Creed, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.
In their 15+ years as a band, they have achieved two billboard charting radio singles, over 100 million streams and views, and have licensed songs to major brands such as iRobot, the NFL, MTV, and more. Comprised of Jon Ricci (Vocals), Shaun Lichtenstein (Lead Guitar / Vocals), Glenn Mungo (Drums), Josh Waterman (Guitar / Vocals), and Mike LaRoche (Bass), LANSDOWNE has been a force to be reckoned with since emerging into the music scene in 2006.
Between 2015 and 2017, the band took a brief hiatus to focus on family and other business ventures, but re-emerged with a series of hard-hitting singles, putting them back on the radar in today’s hard rock scene. The band’s new album, Medicine, will be released on February 3, 2023, via AFM Records. You can now pre-order your album copy HERE!
