There are stories that belong to the distant past yet, despite the passing of centuries, continue to raise deeply relevant questions. Stories suspended between myth, spirituality, mystery and knowledge, capable of crossing time and transforming themselves into new forms of art.
It is from one of these ancient enigmas that “Diary of Enoch”, the new single by Italian-Swiss band Noise in Myself (NIM), was born. The track will be released on October 8, 2026 through Wanikiya Record/Promotion.
With this new song, the band opens a new and ambitious chapter in its artistic journey, once again exploring the introspective, cosmic and dreamlike dimension that has always been at the heart of its identity.
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE HEAVENS
Inspired by the Book of Enoch, one of the most enigmatic texts of ancient tradition, “Diary of Enoch” tells, through a visionary narrative, the ascent of the patriarch through the heavens, guided by angelic beings beyond the boundaries of the earthly world.
Enoch’s journey becomes a true experience of cosmic disorientation: before his eyes unfolds an immense and vertiginous universe governed by stars, fire and celestial powers, while far below, humanity continues to live trapped in matter and in its own chains.
But what Enoch witnesses is not merely a revelation.
It is also a confrontation between what human beings are capable of contemplating and what they cannot — or perhaps are not yet ready — to understand.
It is precisely within this tension between knowledge and ignorance, revelation and oblivion, that the soul of the song takes shape.
“Diary of Enoch” thus becomes much more than a simple story inspired by an ancient text: it is a reflection on the human condition, on the search for answers and on humanity’s eternal need to look beyond the boundaries of its own existence.
ANCIENT MYSTERIES AND THE CYCLES OF EXISTENCE
The new single also offers a first glimpse into the thematic direction that will shape the next chapter of Noise in Myself’s musical journey.
Myths, antediluvian mysteries, ancient knowledge and questions surrounding the origins of humanity enter into dialogue with a contemporary vision, creating a narrative universe in which the theory of the “ancient astronauts,” spirituality and the search for a deeper meaning intertwine without ever providing simple answers.
At the center remains the human being, with their shortcomings, fears and relentless need to explore.
A search that travels through the past in order to question the present.
THE NEW ERA OF NOISE IN MYSELF
Founded from an idea by guitarist and composer Enea Maina, born in 2004 and originally from the Lugano region, Noise in Myself began their journey in the summer of 2020, when Enea started writing the first riffs and lyrics and searching for the musicians who would help bring the project to life.
After the first months of remote work, affected by pandemic restrictions, the band was finally able to meet in the rehearsal room in May 2021, developing and arranging the material they had written.
Between August and November of the same year, the band performed its first shows at venues across the Canton of Ticino, while on March 7, 2022, their first single, “Rise to the Occasion,” was released on the band’s YouTube channel.
Just a few weeks later, the band signed with Wanikiya Records, releasing its debut album on April 9, 2022 across major digital platforms.
The journey continued with “Necessity of Exploration,” released on January 11, 2023 and accompanied by a music video, followed by “The Cosmonaut,” released on May 10 of the same year with an accompanying lyric video.
The two singles were subsequently included in the concept EP “Answers…”, released on June 23, 2023 and featuring five tracks.
Following an intense period of live activity and several lineup changes, the previous collaboration came to an end in late 2024.
But the story of Noise in Myself was far from over.
In August 2025, Enea Maina rebuilt the lineup, creating a new formation and opening a new creative chapter for the project.
Joining the band were soprano and vocalist Arianna Bellinaso (Aexylium), bassist Yuri Bordonali (Ecastor) and drummer Omar Mariani (formerly of Those Furious Flames).
A renewed lineup, new energy and a new musical vision are now leading Noise in Myself into an even more ambitious chapter.
The first single of this new era is scheduled for June 25, 2026, officially opening the way to the band’s new musical journey.
ALTERNATIVE PROGRESSIVE METAL: TECHNIQUE, ATMOSPHERE AND EXPLORATION
Musically, Noise in Myself have developed a distinctive language that can be described as Alternative Progressive Metal, blending the melodic qualities of the vocals with intricate guitar riffs, dark atmospheres and complex rhythms.
The influence of Tool and Leprous coexists with the atmospheres and sensibilities of artists such as Soen, Anathema and Porcupine Tree, creating a sound capable of moving between aggression, dynamics, melody and experimentation.
Music that does not seek merely to strike the listener, but above all to tell a story and encourage reflection.
The band’s songwriting follows the same philosophy.
Noise in Myself’s introspective lyrics revolve around themes of absence, searching and denunciation, drawing on the symbolism of ancient texts and the unresolved questions that have accompanied humanity throughout its history.
With “Diary of Enoch,” this exploration takes on an even greater dimension: from the individual to infinite space, from matter to the unknown, from ancient memory to questions about the future.
THE BEGINNING OF A NEW JOURNEY
“Diary of Enoch” is not simply the new single by Noise in Myself.
It is a doorway.
A doorway into a narrative universe that the band will develop throughout its next musical chapter — a world of cosmic visions, ancient mysteries, knowledge, denunciation and questions about existence.
A journey that begins with a patriarch suspended between heaven and earth and reaches all the way to modern humanity, still searching for answers.
