Norwegian ‘X Factor’ Finalist To Perform With Kamelot In Olso

Norwegian “X Factor” finalist Atle Pettersen (in the pic) — who is also also the singer of Norwegian melodic prog metal band ABOVE SYMMETRY — will join KAMELOT on stage for an exclusive appearance at the group’s May 15, 2011 concert in Oslo, Norway.

Pettersen had Marion Raven as a mentor in the “X Factor” program and finished a strong second in the final, which was watched by no fewer than one million viewers.

Commented Atle: “‘X Factor’ was already a highlight that I thought could not be topped. But singing with KAMELOT is really going to do that! I have been listening to their music for many years and joining Thomas [Youngblood, KAMELOT guitarist] and band on stage now will be totally awesome! I am very excited about it and can’t wait!”

Added KAMELOT‘s Thomas Youngblood: “We are so looking forward to returning to Norway. I haven’t been back since the writing sessions in Elverum last winter and I miss the people and nature of Norway. I still remember my first trip to Oslo over 10 years ago and have returned every year since. I recently met with Atle in Los Angeles and he is a super-cool dude, and he will kick some ass at the show!”
