Tornado‘s Joey Severance has issued the following studio update:
Wednesday March 2011
We started out late this morning as the power in the village went down and we couldn’t start at our usual 9am roll call…… once things did get started, Big Maaaaan got in there and finished off another six songs on the guitar and Johnny Wow got in there and polished off another six on the bass. We knew that once the bass was added the songs would take on another life form but we had no idea that Peter would make it as bangin as it sounds. He calls it the “David Ellefson Rust In Peace sound…. but better” that right there should about say it all. One thing for sure is that unlike a lot of metal bands, TORNADO is very bass heavy. Tomorrow BM will finish the last 3 songs and then all rhythm guitars will be complete and we will start with the backing vocals before some of our crew head back to Helsinki. With day 3 behind us and most of the songs finished we feel fucking great because several people have asked (including Peter) “how can you make an album in 10 days?” and our answer was real simple “easy, we’re Bad Motherfuckers” and apparently it seems that we are 😉
