TUSKA 2011 gathered 28 000 Metalheads in Helsinki, Finland

TUSKA OPEN AIR FESTIVAL has issued the following update:

The 14th annual Tuska Open Air Metal Festival took place in the new location of Suvilahti, Helsinki over the weekend of July 22-24. About 28 000 metal fans took part in the festivities with Saturday being the biggest success with 10 000 visitors. The new location with its industrial setting proved to be the perfect backdrop for Finland’s premium metal festival.

Weekend’s crowd favorites were local heroes Wintersun, Turisas and Amorphis as well At The Gates, Meshuggah and Amon Amarth who closed out the festival on Sunday evening with their stunning headline show.

Dates for Tuska 2012 will be announced later in the fall.
