According to Vintage Vinyl News, VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen is auctioning one of his guitars that he has been using for over a decade to benefit the Drop In the Bucket charity.

The guitar is the very first Wolfgang guitar every produced and was owned by Eddie Van Halen from 1999-2011. It comes complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by Eddie. Eddie will personalize the guitar for the successful bidder. At press time the last bid was $4,057. Bids go up in $250 increments, so the next bid needs to be $4,307.
The estimated value of the guitar is $10,000. Bidding closes on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
Drop In The Bucket is a Los Angeles-based charity creating a world for children to be safe, healthy, educated and free from fear. So far the charity has completed 150 projects in six countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

The VAN HALEN News Desk is reporting that a Van Halen fan in the UK has uploaded an interview with the band he recorded off a local radio back in 1978 during the band’s first UK tour.
The interview features frontman David Lee Roth and drummer Alex Van Halen.
