“Not Supposed To Sing The Blues”, the new video from Swedish hard rockers EUROPE, will make its online debut on Thursday, March 22 on the band’s official web site. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.
“Not Supposed To Sing The Blues” is the first single from EUROPE‘s ninth studio album, “Bag Of Bones”, which will be released on April 27 via earMusic/Edel. The CD, which features a guest appearance by blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa (BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION), was produced by Kevin Shirley, who has previously worked with IRON MAIDEN, JOE BONAMASSA, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, BLACK STONE CHERRY and JOURNEY, among others.

Regarding the new CD title, EUROPE drummer Ian Haugland said, “It’s not [called ‘Bag Of Bones’] because we all have lost tons of weight or found a new interest in archeology or dogs… It’s just because it sounds fuckin’ cool!”

Finnish technical death metal band DE LIRIUM’S ORDER has released a new video “Autistic Savant”, can be viewed below. Autistic Savant is the opening track of De Lirium’s Order’s newest album, Veniversum. The video was shot in freezing conditions, minus 30 degrees Celcius, in an abandoned factory located in Joensuu, Finland.
The song concentrates on autistic savants, some of whom posses extraordinary capabilities such as prodigious memory or superior musical ability. The savant syndrome is largely a mystery despite of the extensive amount of research that has been conducted on the subject.

The clip was filmed around the band’s native London streets and is the latest step in RISE TO REMAIN‘s remarkable ascendancy to the heights of British rock.

Swedish progressive/doom metallers MINORA are collaborating with former IN FLAMES and current THE RESISTANCE guitarist Jesper Strömblad on a few songs that MINORA is planning to release later this year.
MINORA‘s debut album, “Imago”, was released about a year ago. The Gothenburg, Sweden-based band “adds unique aspects to their metal sound with a mix of alternative post-rock and progressive elements,” according to a pres release. “The result has been turning the ears of many in the metal/rock scene after countless shows and re-invention.”
“Imago” was recorded at Svenska Grammofonstudion (DARK TRANQUILLITY, THE HAUNTED) in Gothenburg and was mixed and mastered by David Castillo (KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, OPETH) at Ghost Ward in Stockholm during 2010. The album is full of dynamic, heavy, guitar-driven songs and even includes a cover of BJÖRK‘s “Jóga”.
