PURE RAWK AWARDS has issued the following:
Dark, devious and devilish sounds complete the line up for the Pure Rawk Awards 2012 – the fan-voted awards championing the new, independent and the alternative. The Lost Souls Club (Southampton – pictured above) and Patchwork Grace (Nottingham – pictured below) will play the show along with headliners Obsessive Compulsive plus supports The James Warner Prophecies and Jonny Cola and the A Grades.
Traditionally for the Awards every year, Pure Rawk features an acoustic slot usually filled by a band who by trade dabble in the raw, wild and electric side of music – this year Patchwork Grace will be providing a stripped down version of their material.

Pure Rawk Editor Nix comments “We wanted to have a line up that represents bands across the country, not just London. This will be the 5th Awards we have held and the growth of them seems to have snowballed into a monster that is starting to be recognised nationally. The results are purely the outcome of music fans voting for their favourite new, unsigned or underground acts and we’re so pleased with the quality of entries that have come in. We’re just looking forward to seeing it all come together, who wins and who ends up under the table first”.
Tickets for the Awards were offered for free for the first time due to the commitment of major sponsorship and they were snapped up within a week by punters forcing Pure Rawk to create a waiting list for any returned tickets. The 2012 Awards will be the 3rd year running that the event has ‘sold out’. The shortlist voting is still open at www.purerawkawards.com until Monday 27th February.
