DECIMATUS released debut album “The Betrayer”

The debut release from Decimatus is a no-holds-barred declaration of Australian Metal – loud, hungry and demanding to be heard. With songs honed through live shows that have been stunning audiences for the past 18 months, “The Betrayer” sets Decimatus at the forefront of the Australian Metal scene.

Chosen as the “Featured Download” for the January issue of “Heavy” (the new Australian quarterly music magazine), Decimatus are rising fast and working hard. Bassist Andrew Rondinelli describes how the EP took shape : “We basically got together and jammed .. thats how we wrote Bury You, Decimate and Of The Wicked. We already knew just from those 3 songs what sound we were gunning for – ultimately those 3 songs would set the bar for the direction we wanted to go. We demoed the songs and then recorded them 8 months after that. We wanted the listener to really feel the energy and groove in the songs, something they can bang their heads to.”

The 6 tracks from “The Betrayer” are a statement of intent … the driving force of songs such as “Bury you” and “Decimate” promise – and deliver – a brutal mix of killer groove riffs, growling vocals and past paced drums.
