PERGANA: New EP “The Mirror of Silence” released

BLUE FREYA has issued the following:

PERGANA‘s new EP “The Mirror Of Silence” is a truly international collaboration, bringing together musicians from Europe and South America to create an amazing work of symphonic metal. Founded by keyboard player and composer Adrian Benegas, the band is based in Paraguay and features members and guest artists from France and Germany.

The creation of “Mirror of Silence” took place over the course of a month in early 2011. The guitars and keyboards were recorded in Asunción, Paraguay, while the drums (provided by Alex Holzwarth from Symphonic Metal band Rhapsody of Fire) and the bass (played by Alex’ brother and fellow Rhapsody of Fire member Oliver Holzwarth) were recorded in Munich, Germany. French vocalist Audrey Laure fly to Paraguay to record the vocal melodies, and mixing and mastering were then completed in Paraguay.

The end result of this effort is a fantastic 4 track introduction to an emerging Symphonc Metal band. Keyboard player Adrian Benegas comments : “In the Mirror of Silence you will find a lot of different musical atmospheres, the variety of musical elements makes this new and fresh. The keyboard solos and guitar solos compliment each other perfectly and the orchestral arrangements give more dynamics to the songs making them stronger.” The band also places an emphasis on the lyrical content : “The EP contains a lot of spiritual messages behind the lyrics. Every written word is born from some personal experiences”.

With talent drawn from around the globe and a desire to bring their music to the world, Pergana are a musical force on the rise.
