Norway’s heavy doom rock band DEVIL has issued the following update:
Despite only being in the scene for a short time, Devil (Norway) have established themselves throughout Europe and the Nordic Countries as the undergrounds very own “underdogs of doom”.
Devil’s musical output is a riff worship of unpretentious Rock and Roll based doom rock which has recently seen them invited to support bands such as Electric Wizard and Pentagram, alongside playing prestigious metal festivals such as Hole in the Sky and Hammer of Doom. Devil have also been invited to form part of this years prestigious Roadburn Festival 2012.
Only last year Devil released their debut album “Time to Repent” which was a followup to their sold out underground hit demo EP “Magister Mundi Xum”. Now, the booze hounds, are poised to make a very rare appearance by touring Finland this fall. On the confirmation of the dates the band stated “We are very honored to be invited to Finland. First of all, the Finnish traditions and history are heavily represented in our parts of Norway, close to the Finnish woods, where Finnish immigrants lived their lives for centuries from the 16th century and forward. Besides, we want to see if they’re as good drinkers as us!!”.
