Finnish Red Eleven is a new addition to Jyväskylä’s music scene. Stylistically the band is somewhere between metal/rock/alternative, somewhat bowing to nineties with influences from Pantera, Down, Alice in Chains and Faith No More to name a few. The band is currently working on it’s debut album, planning to release it in late 2012. Currently they are searching for a record label to release the album.
Line up:
Tony Kaikkonen – vocals (Dark Days Ahead, Bone 5, Code For Silence, Sons of Aeon)
Teemu Liekkala – guitars, backing vocals (Code For Silence, Beyond the Dream, Manufacturer’s Pride)
J-V Hintikka – guitars (Dead Cult Diaries, Survivors Zero, ex-Machine Men)
Petteri Vaalimaa – bass (Turta, Kosma)
Pasi Pasanen – drums (Sons of Aeon, Plutonium Orange, Bone 5, ex-Swallow the Sun)

The story of Red Eleven began in 2009 under the name ‘Project Red Eleven’, when Teemu Liekkala and Tony Kaikkonen recorded a couple of songs together. Then one day in 2011 Tony played these songs to his buddies Pasi Pasanen and Petteri Vaalimaa, and the guys instantly thought “This should definitely be a real band!”. Thus, finally in January 2012 the “project” -part was cut off and Red Eleven started rehearsing. After few rehearsals J-V Hintikka joined the band. With the line-up now steady, they rehearsed 11 songs (conveniently) and have entered the studio in April 2012 to record their first full length album.
