S.U.N. (SOMETHING UNTO NOTHING) drummer Brian Tichy (ex – WHITESNAKE) underwent surgery on New Years Day after breaking his collarbone while mountain biking.
Tichy has now released the following update via S.U.N.’s Facebook page:
“I didn’t realize it was all this and it really doesn’t matter ‘cause I FEEL great! At times it does feel like a little metal alien wants to jump out of my collar area. But, he seems to be adapting better each day. I now finally see the benefits to the idea of simply ‘slowing down’. Yes, I will still mountain bike, and I will still want to go faster, but I will look back and realize it’s not worth it. I am going to make a conscious effort to put the ‘speed focus’ on guitar and drums ‘cause I can definitely get faster on those…
By the way, Photo Booth doesn’t flip the photos to accurately reflect a proper left and right… why not? Mac has thought of everything else! The injured side is my right side, although the photo makes it appear as though it’s the left. Come on Photo Booth, in the immortal words of Paul Stanley from ‘100,000 Years’ on KISS ALIVE!.. ‘I know you can do better than that!’”

Tichy announced his departure from Whitesnake at the beginning of January.
Whitesnake have begun the search for a new drummer. There are several musicians already being considered. A spokesman for the band said that this will not affect the forthcoming tour dates for 2013.
