Norwegian 7string guitarist/singer/songwriter THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF has released episode 1 of her new weekly Video Blog on her Youtube channel. She asks “what makes a riff?” She plays some of her more technical riffs and talks about several aspects of riffs and rhythm guitar playing in heavy metal and why she thinks rhythm guitar playing should get more attention. She also gives important advice about how to avoid Tendonitis and tennis elbow – common problems for guitar players in metal.

Earlier this week she also posted a video featuring live clips of several of her guitar-solos, featuring tapping, shredding, sweep picking, arpeggios, etc.
