Pretending to be what one is not is something Peter Tägtgren can never be accused of. He is a living embodiment of music, the multi-instrumentalist Tägtgren has been a central and active figure in the extreme metal movement for over a decade. A well-known insomniac workaholic who lives life at a relentless pace, Peter is the founder, main composer, lead singer, and guitarist of the death metal band HYPOCRISY. Although Hypocrisy is his main band, he has also worked on many other Swedish metal projects. These include PAIN, for which he performs all instruments and vocals and composes all songs; he also appeared as a live guitarist for the bands Marduk and E-Type. … just to mention a few.

HYPOCRISY’s new album “End Of Disclosure” will be released on March 22 by Nuclear Blast. Just a month before the release Metal Shock Finland‘s Tarja Virmakari had a chance to interview Peter, during the interview he talks widely about the new album and its writing process. The chat also reveals that Peter owns a village in Sweden, called Pärlby. You can find out more about this and much more in the audio interview below.
