UNHOPED: New EP “Nuclear Death” To Be Released In May

Violent Journey Records has issued the following:

UNHOPED is a Finnish Death/Thrash band, which was formed in 2007. The first alignment consisted of K. Laanto and A. Paasu playing guitar, M. Huisko playing drums, S. Parviainen playing bass and L. Viertola singing. The result was their first EP “First Blood”. Ep was very well received amongst the critics around the world.

Comments the band: “After the busy 2010 we started to record our 1st full-length album “Die Harder”. During the recording sessions we changed our singer from L. Viertola to J. Luostarinen and that’s how the record got released in the late 2011. We decided to release the album as self-financed even though we would’ve had the chance to a larger distributing chain, since a certain record label was interested in releasing the album. Nevertheless the decision turned out to be perfect; We got the 7th place in the Finnish Metal Awards in the category of “Demo/Self-Financed”.

In the year 2012 we started to write new material and the result was EP ‘Nuclear Death’ which contained five tough tracks. The album will be released at May 24th 2013 by Violent Journey Records. Release party is set to Steelfest Open Air 2013 with bands like Sodom, Destruction etc.”
