JOURNEY’s management have shot down speculation that the band have been working towards some form of reunion with classic-era singer Steve Perry.

Earlier this week Aristan News released a video clip in which the vocalist was asked whether anything was under way with guitarist Neal Schon, and replied: “I haven’t worked with Neal. We’re trying. It’s tough. I’m doing my best in that area and I can only do so much.”
But MelodicRock.com have published a strong denial, branding the speculation “totally inaccurate”.
Proprietor Andrew McNeive reports: “I can one hundred per cent confirm there has been no business or reunion communication between the camps. While everyone is on good terms, with no issues, there are no plans in the foreseeable future.
“Journey management stated to me today: ‘No reunion plans; all is well in the Journey camp. Big tour in the US this summer – Journey/Steve Miller and Tower Of Power.”
“I can add that Steve’s recently quoted responses to media about his situation is basically a polite answer to the question he is always going to be asked. Watching him say it on video gives it better context than the quote in text.
“Don’t get too excited, folks, my source states that any hype is just ‘hot air’.”
Perry and Schon are known to have settled many of their differences in recent times, with the singer saying he’d come to realise the value of being in a band, and the guitarist reflecting that they’d had amazing chemistry together.
