Swiss veterans GOTTHARD will release their eleventh studio album, Bang!, on April 6 via PIAS.
It’s their second record with Swiss-Australian vocalist Nic Maeder, who joined the band following the motorcycle accident that killed Steve Lee in 2010.

The release will be fronted with the launch of a single entitled Feel What I Feel, described as “a perfect demonstration of the group’s talent for combining melodic vocals with strong guitar hooks.”
A statement explains: “The dynamic boogie groove of the title track is new ground for the band, reflecting their unbridled energy and pure confidence. Also worthy of mention is a duet with the so-far unknown American vocalist Melody Tibbits on a ballad entitled Maybe, as is the blues excursion the band take in Spread Your Wings.
“The final track, Thank You, is a veritable epic complete with orchestra and goosebumps, flowing against radio-friendly convention to a length of more than ten minutes. Written as a tribute to the late mother of guitarist Leo Leoni, it serves as a homage to mothers everywhere.”
Bang! was recorded and produced by Leoni and Charlie Bauerfeind. The follow-up to 2012′s Firebirth will be available as a standard CD, digipak with two bonus tracks, as a digital download and on vinyl.
