Extreme experimental metallers BENEVOLENT, based in Dubai, released their first EP entitled ”Divided” in 2010. The trio are set to release their full length album “The Covenant” on March 18th , which features Andols Herrick (ex- CHIMAIRA). Single ‘The Seeker’ is available now.
Blackdiamond caught up with members Hadi Sarieddine, Fadi Sarieddine and Mohammed Gad to find out more. You can read an excerpt and listen to the chat on the player below:
Discussing single ‘The Seeker’ the band stated:
“This one we feel represents the album very well and carries on from where we left off with Divided.”
About the album, the band revealed:
“We’re really stoked, we can’t wait to share this with everybody! It’s not a concept album, but each song has its own individual story, they compliment each other. It’s got the dark thing going, but optimism too.
It’s more progressive than anything on Divided. A lot of the prog moments on this album are really over the top; we all come from prog backgrounds.”
