The founders of the Belgian metal festival Tongeren Metal Fest are pleased to announce that the festival will take place again on Saturday 2nd of May 2015 at the famous venue de VELINX in Tongeren; Belgium’s oldest city! The successful first edition took place earlier this year and featured bands like Asphyx, Angel Witch and many others.
Promotor Willem Van Maele commented: “It’s a great honour to be invited again to organize the festival at the beautiful and professional venue de VELINX. It is obvious that our goal remains the same: presenting the best bands under excellent conditions at the lowest ticket price possible.”
The first bands will be announced soon. Band applications are welcome via e-mail.
The first edition took place on Saturday 12th of April 2014. Asphyx, Angel Witch, Herder, Saille, Prematory and Predatoria made their appearence. The Tongeren Metal Festival artwork, created by Dries Gaerdelen, was inspired by the tale of Ambiorix and highlights the festival’s macabre mascot.
