The organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise 2015 have announced the addition of Finnish metallersAMORPHIS and Danish thrashers ARTILLERY to the line-up. Next year’s cruise takes place from 22-26 January.
The release of last year’s studio record “Circle” was nothing less than a comprehensive victory for the Finnish melodic death metal icons from AMORPHIS. A Metal Hammer award for “Album Of The Year”, numerous chart entries ( #13 in German album charts and #15 in British Rock charts) and concerts in almost every corner of the world – including North America, Japan and their first ever appearance in China – were a proper reward for the band’s excellent work on “Circle”. And right after the ambassadors of Finnish folklore will be finished with their “Tales From The Thousand Lakes” anniversary tour in late December, they are about to join us for the weatherwise counter project: From wintery Europe to the mild sub-tropical atmosphere on board the 70000Tons Of Metal cruise.

Since the Finns are on their way to Florida anyway, they could actually just pass by Denmark and pick up thrash metal beasts ARTILLERY who are the second band to be confirmed for 70000Tons Of Metal today.
Founded in Taastrup near Copenhagen in 1982 and being one of the first established thrash metal acts from Europe, the band has spent more than 30 years providing the community of thrashers with their very own mixture of thrash, power and speed metal. Seven studio records and numerous demos and EPs are proof for their ongoing hard work that has been rewarded with a deal at Metal Blade Records and the following release of their latest studio record “Legions” in 2013. A treat for all lovers of old-school thrash and speed metal that packages the band as lively as ever.
