Third Edition Of BLASTFEST 2016 Announced

Blastfest Organiser Yngve “The Bolt” Christiansen, has announced the third edition of BLASTFEST to take place on February 17 – 21, 2016 in Bergen – Norway. Read more below:

Once again we welcome THE METAL WORLD to our charming little town of Bergen. The 3rd edition of Blastfest is now official!

We’ve done a lot, in a short time, and there’s more to be announced. However, this time the festival will take on a very special shape! Let’s see if we are able to make it happen (the format, not the festival). Yes, this year we announce from the get-go that this will be a four day event, and NO, there will NOT be a 5th day added in October.

We have a limited range of tickets available:

4 Day Festival Pass (V.I.P.) – 150
4 Day Festival Pass – 150
3 Day Festival Pass (V.I.P.) – 100
3 Day Festival Pass – 650 (sold 661 of this one this year, so less available next year.)

In November we will start selling day passes.

This year will be set up with USF as our main arena and no early day-shows, though the USF shows will start earlier than they did this year. We also end all days with a band on the mainstage, and not in the smaller Studio venue, so that people will have time for a good afterparty every single night.

Before I start reading all the opinions and tips in our survey form (HERE), it is important to say that we also see the potential for making Blastfest a better festival, as we go. The main concerns by you, our most important contributors, the crowd, have been dealt with as good as we can already, and you will arrive at an improved festival next year. Even though we have an OK size here, we are still new, fresh, inexperienced, and do as good as we can. It is important for us to get your feedback, so that we can grow in size and quality together with our followers. As said so many times before, Blastfest is by the metal community, for the metal community.

I do promise a great/greater edition this 3rd year, and hope to see even more faces. It was one hell of an edition for me sitting in the office the whole time again!

But hey! The flames I was in the office to fix, never became a fire, and we learn and get better so that hopefully next year I can have a beer with all of you. That

is the reason for me creating this in the first place. But do not buy me beer! (Toni you like that I wrote that right?;) So… from this very personal metal fest, I,
