KORPIKLAANI are set to release their new album Noita on May 01 (EU), May 04 (UK) and May 05 (US) via Nuclear Blast. This will be the band’s ninth full length studio album and fans can get a taster of the new offering as the first single from the album titled ‘Lempo’ is streaming online now! Listen over on YouTube:
Noita was recorded at Petrax Studio with musician and producer Aksu Hanttu and the band recently released the first album trailer, which was filmed at Petrax. Watch as the band reveal what it was like recording the new material, here:
The forthcoming album is the first KORPIKLAANI release to feature new accordion player Sami Perttula. Perttula’s joining the band has added another dimension in the band’s folk arrangements alongside Fiddler Tuomas Rounakari. Jan Yrlund (MANOWAR, SIRENIA etc), of Darkgrove Design, created the artwork. Yrlund has created all of the KORPIKLAANI artwork in recent years and once again has come up with another masterpiece.
