There are some people who are Creators, Pioneers, Leaders, Heroes or even Destroyers and they are busy making their own stories. But also there are some other people who write those stories, visible or invisible and memories will not remain without their magical work!

Martin Popoff, a star from the Universe of Words, is a Canadian heavy metal music observer and history writer, who has spent two decades of his life carving the amazing history of this genre of music on the human mind. More than 40 published books on hard rock and heavy metal music is just one part of thousands of articles Martin has penned. Maybe we should mention here that Martin has been called “heavy metal’s most widely recognized journalist” by his publisher.

Today, Metal Shock Finland is proud to pay a week’s tribute to Martin Popoff and his precious work on the heavy metal industry – maybe we can show our gratitude to him and all the stars from the Universe of Words. Our Chief Editor had a four piece interview with Martin, where he tried to visualize the world of metal from Martin‘s view, along with discovering more about his career and life. “He is truly a nice and cool person.” Mohsen Fayazi commented on his time talking with Mr. Popoff “I never felt tired of listening to his stories and opinions.” He continues on Martin‘s style of writing: “The special fact about Martin’s style of recording history is that he does not only observe the big stars, but also the rare stories about unseen or forgotten bands and musicians, which makes his work unique.”
