Slovakian blackened industrial metallers KHADAVER are currently in studio recording their sophomore album “Exstinctio Mundi“. The album is starting to come together as the guitar parts are finished. Leader of the band Nihil Nix declared some time ago that he would be glad if the album was completed by the end of July.
Nihil explained the recording process: “We recorded the guitars in three weeks in my home studio Xi Studio. Thanks to modern technology we were able to send all files to our sound engineer Martin Barla who then reamped the guitars in his studio. The sound of guitars on album will be the sound of tube amps and not of some software plugins.”
Home recording has its advantages. Nihil added: “It enabled us to work at a comfortable pace and we were not under the time pressure.”
Feral, a new guitar player who came to the band last year also contributed to the recording process.
Mastermind of KHADAVER states: “His contribution lies in fact that he could approach already completed songs with different attitude and from broader distance. He was not afraid to make remarks or to suggest some changes. He also replaced some of mine licks and leads with some of his own. Thanks to him the songs are more variable.”
The guitars on new album will be more complex and will form the main structure of songs. Nihil Nix commented: “I have great feeling about the guitar parts. The working rate was vastly faster than when recording our debut album ‘New World Disorder’. One of the main reasons is that I have grown as a guitar player when compared to the previous album.”
