Slovakian Symphonic Metallers SYMFOBIA Release First Ever Video “Dragon”

Slovakian symphonic metal band SYMFOBIA has released their first ever video clip “Dragon”.

Six band members led by beautiful female singer Erika Strečková relased their debut album, “Way of the Queen”, with no sponsors and label support at the beginning of 2015, including nine songs. The album received positive feedback, and the band was confirmed to play at many concerts.

Sharing stage with Finnish NIGHTWISH during their show in Banská Bystrica, in June can be considered as their biggest achievement so far.

“Dragon” was directed, produced and filmed by Filthy Monkeys Crew. Script of this videoclip is connected with song’s lyrics. The video was shot in Nitra, in old sugar refinery building in Trnava. Nature scenes were created in Trnovec nad Váhom.

Band used services of young Slovakian artist and tattoo specialist Igor Hanečák who body-painted the singer Beáta Meszárošová and created her alter ego.

“Shooting of our videoclip was new experience for me. Team of creators was amazing, so I really enjoyed it. We had quite difficult conditions due to cold weather and there are mainly outdoor scenes. Actress who played Dragon had really difficult conditions as she was almost completely naked”, said singer Eva Strečková about her feelings during the shooting the videoclip. And she continues: “The scene with lake was the most difficult one for me as I had to go into that lake and all other crew members were wearing jackets out there. I guess we made a beautiful day to all surrounders and visitors who were just passing around us during shooting scenes, some of them even made some pictures of Dragon.”

Shooting this videoclip took four days. “Painting of Dragon took us approximately six hours during first day and cleaning took us another two hours more. Fortunately, everything went quicker during second day. Those were beautiful days with big adventures and new experiences” said the singer at the end.
