Texan angular black-‘n’-rollers DEATH MOTIF have revealed a taste of the chaos on their upcoming second EP “The Water”, due for release on 9th September.
The track “His And Hers” comes smack in the middle of the EP, an eerie atmosphere driving the relentless drumming and atonal riff patterns. Guitarist Andy Bonney elaborates on the diversity of the track: “We come from all different backgrounds and are a series of different ages, so we take special care to incorporate as many elements of our differing tastes as possible.” Speaking on the lyrics, Bonney adds, “’His and Hers’ is based loosely/inspired by the murder of a high school friend of mine that happened last year.”
