KAT & Roman Kostrzewski – the most important band in Polish thrash metal music since 1980 – has re-recorded the legendary album “666”, originally released in May 1986 (via Klub Plytowy Razem), which was the Polish version for the band’s debut album “Metal and Hell” (released in 1986 via Ambush Records). “666” became an absolute cult item among the legions of diehard fans. Over the last few years, the album was not available in the official sales, so among other reasons, KAT & Roman Kostrzewski decided to re-record the album, entering to the studio in summer 2014. The result was “666” version of Anno Domini 2015, original, wild, and magical, which only Roman’s KAT is able to create.

“This album is alive and bursting with energy”, states Roman Kostrzewski. Talking about the recording sessions, he adds: “Raven Studio (in Skrzyszowie – Poland) allowed us to record efficiently. During breaks from recordings, under the same conditions of sound, we registered vocals and solos. In less than six days we had recorded the whole album. As a result, we avoided overlays and many days spent in the studio and at the same time we kept alive the nature of performance, which easily can be lost in multi-sessions”.

In this seemingly simple way the material contained on the “666” has gained a new, contemporary sound and atmosphere. The album is set to be released on September 11th, via Mystic Production.

Furthermore, the band has announced a line-up change, after 10 years the guitarist Piotr Radecki has left the band, the new guitarist  is Jacek Hiro (Corruption, Sceptic, Voodoo Gods, Virgin Snatch, Dies Irae).
