DORO: Rocks At Rock In Rio

New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Sydney, London, Barcelona, Rome, Paris… In her 30 year career, DORO Pesch already rocked the world’s most important megacities several times. But when the vocalist boards the plane to Rio De Janeiro in Düsseldorf tomorrow, she will fly to her biggest show of all time: DORO rocks at Rock In Rio!

“That will be awesome! A dream comes true,” says the Düsseldorf-born musician excitedly, who will be the first German artist to attend the world-renowned festival after Nina Hagen in 1995.

“This will be a fantastic highlight of my career. There’s nothing bigger than Rock In Rio!”

Rock In Rio celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. At the very first show in 1985 (which took place at Copacabana, Rio De Janeiro) QUEEN, AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN and the SCORPIONS played amongst many other bands. This year will be the fifth time the festivals takes place at Copacabana, and the headliners will be METALLICA, QUEEN, and MÖTLEY CRÜE. DORO will hit the stage with Brazilian power metallers ANGRA (she sang on the duet ‘Crushing Room’ which is on the band’s current record). “The guys invited me now to perform the song with them at Rock In Rio,” DORO smiles.
