ABBATH Unveil New Album Details, Premiere First New Track “Winter Bane”

Norway’s iconic ABBATH have premiered the first new track off their highly anticipated forthcoming, self-titled album. The new track, titled “Winter Bane” is streaming now at Blabbermouth.net.

‘ABBATH’ will be released by Season of Mist on January 22. The album will be available across multiple CD, LP, and Cassette formats. Pre-orders are now available at the Season of Mist E-Shop. The track list and cover art for ‘ABBATH’ can be found below.

ABBATH recently announced they will release a new 7″ single on Season of Mist this December 11th. The 7″ features a new track, titled “Count the Dead”, as well as a cover of the JUDAS PRIEST track “Riding on the Wind”.

‘Count the Dead’ is available in two different color variations, limited to 500 copies of black vinyl, and 500 copies of clear vinyl with black splatter. The “Count the Dead’ 7” can be pre-ordered at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

To celebrate and commemorate the release of ABBATH’s forthcoming debut album, the band have scheduled their album launch show in London on January 23. The band comments: “With every great release, there is a party to go with it – and this album is no exception. As such, the London show that was scheduled for September is now moving to Saturday 23rd of January 2016. All tickets remain valid. PRIMORDIAL and CONAN will still be coming along for the ride, alongside Metal Hammer UK DJ’s, and more.”

The band also decently announced their first ever European tour. The tour, kicking off on January 29, sees the band travel through Europe alongside BEHEMOTH, INQUISITION, and EN TOMBED A.D. A full list of confirmed dates can be found below.
