Enigmatic Icelandic rock band SÓLSTAFIR will kick off a string of special European shows at the Islington Assembly Hall in London, UK this Saturday, May 14. The tour will lead the band through six countries and nine performances with a final concert at Palac Akropolis in Prague on May 22.
SÓLSTAFIR will perform their latest album ‘Ótta’ in its entirety with a string quartet, including members of HEXVESSEL and THE OCEAN, and Martin Curtis-Powell (CRADLE OF FILTH, MY DYING BRIDE) on electric piano. The second part of the evening will be filled with fan favorites from the band’s back catalog.

SÓLSTAFIR are touring in support of the band’s critically acclaimed latest album , ‘Otta’. The album, which has made Decibel Magazine’s top 40 albums of 2014, is streaming here, and is available now at the Season of Mist E-shop.

‘Otta’ entered several European national album charts upon release: Finland at #2, Germany at #25, Switzerland at #64, Austria at #65 and their native Icelandic charts at #1. In the wake of the charting, press for SÓLSTAFIR has appeared in places such as Vice, Stereogum, Pitchfork Music, MTV, and more.
