The admins of the official website of the heavy metal mecca, Wacken Open Air, have recently announced that TWILIGHT FORCE and EVIL SCARECROW are confirmed for the tent stages of W.O.A. 2017. They also stated that more bands will be confirmed soon.
Wacken describes the bands as follows:
Twilight Force
Hailing from the Swedisch Falun, Twilight Force are sharing both the genre and the hometown with the heroes from Sabaton. Power Metal as overblown and fantastic as it can get! The lyrical contents could originate directly from the writings of Tolkien and this is also visible at their live shows.
Evil Scarecrow
The slightly mad Englishmen from Evil Scarecrow are describing their music as Parody Black Metal – and that is a very good description indeed! They released their first album back in 2004 and since then they have conquered many many stagwes. And now they will sound the attack in Wacken too!
The bands already confirmed are Aborted, Ahab, Amon Amarth, Apocalyptica, ASP, Aura Noir, Avantasia, Batushka, Brujeria, Candlemass, Cypecore, Dawn of Disease, Emperor, Europe, Fates Warning, Grand Magus, Hämatom, Heaven Shall Burn, Imperium Dekadenz, Kadavar, Kreator, Lacuna Coil, Marilyn Manson, Mayhem, Memoriam, Napalm Death, Orange Goblin, Paradise Lost, Powerwolf, Rage, Saltatio Mortis, Serenity, Soilwork, Sonata Arctica, Tankard, Trivium, Turbonegro and Witchery.
