After four years, WACHENFELDT has now completed the sequel to Colophon, named “The Interpreter”. The Re-release of “The Interpreter – Extended Version” with two bonus tracks will take place on February 9th along with the first physical release of the album. First single from the Album “The Interpreter – Extended Version” will be the title track – “The Interpreter” and is to be released Friday January 19th.
Meanwhile, the members have also been involved in a variety of projects. The singer and bassist Thomas von Wachenfeldt has been involved as an arranger and bassist in Entombed’s symphonic projects with Gävle and Malmö symphony orchestras, where the latter will soon be released as DVD and CD. Thomas has also participated in Wombbath’s Downfall Rising as a singer. The drummer Jon Skäre has participated in, amongst others, Defiatory and Skineater and Martin Björklund has been touring with, amongst others, Månegarm and Mercury X.
The Interpreter, mixed by Tommy Rehn (Angtoria, Corroded i.a.), is released february 9th and contains nine songs where two of them (Colophon and Litany to Satan) were also featured on the Colophon, but now in new versions. The music is, as previously, situated between death, thrash and black metal with elements of classical and folk music.
